Installation of Oracle XE 10g on windows 8. 

Oracle XE is a free database provided by Oracle.The file is around 220MB which can be easily downloaded and installed within 5 mins. The following post will show you on how to install it on Windows 8 64 bit. 

Step 1: Download the Oracle XE 10g from any link. Google for the word, and you will get the link.

Step 2: Extract the downloaded file

Step 3: Click on the .exe file

 Step 4: Click on next

 Step 5: Accept the license document and click on next

 Step 6: Click on browse and select the drive

 Step 7: Enter the username and password and make a note of it.

 Step 8: Make a note of the below screen too. (Take a screenshot)

 Step 9: Click on Install

 Step 10: Once installed click on finish.

Step 11: After clicking on finish you will be taken to the gui page where you can login with the password you gave earlier. Username will be sys

 Step 12: Screen after logging in.
